Surface

What you run on is as important as what you run in. The surface beneath your shoes dictates the type of rubber used in their tread, the manner in which manufacturers add or remove cushioning, and how they build the upper to provide the appropriate level of protection and durability. The fact is, your body wants to run differently on different surfaces, and the right shoes will allow it to do so in as efficient a manner as possible.
