We know since you came to this page what a wonderful, inquisitive person you are, but let's face it: you probably don't know much about us. We'd like to fix that.

 

The first thing that you should know is that we don't hire salespeople. We hire runners. Full stop. We've found we can make sure every employee knows the ins and outs of our products, but there's no way to fake a love of running. And we love to run.

 

That means when you come in and visit us at the Ultra Running Company, we'll be focused on optimizing your running experience and less focused on upselling you to make more money. We'll offer try-on socks without making a show of taking a pair off the wall. That's a trick to get you to buy more socks. We won't automatically recommend an aftermarket insert. That's a trick to increase margin, and is actually bad for your feet. And we won't be pushing you to buy multiple pairs of shoes if one will do the trick. We want YOU to love to run as much as we do.
